This picture puts into perspective the obstacles HOEC has been facing. Between poles and lines down from tornadoes to the horrible wind, members all across our service area have been affected. Any time we have a storm in a concentrated area, we move equipment and linemen to that area to respond. Then when there are outages outside the concentration, some are redeployed to those new outage areas. Wind caused trees and lines to go down yesterday and even caused some wires to come into contact with each other, causing outages. Wind gusts were well above 50 mph.
