Turning down your thermostat a degree or two could help you save on your electric bill. When the difference between outside and inside temperatures is significant, like today, your heating system runs more to maintain the warmth. Setting your thermostat at 68° during the winter is generally a good rule of thumb.
Also, make sure windows and doors are sealed with weather stripping and caulk. Make sure any holes for pipes or cables are filled in with foam insulation. Keep curtains drawn during the night and place blankets over doors to help keep drafts from entering your home. Stay safe, and keep your energy usage in check!
