During this time of year, when we are feeling gracious and giving, some groups and individuals will try to use that to profit for themselves. Don't fall victim to scams during this season. If you receive an email that looks suspicious or is asking for money, always call the number you have for the company or business, NOT one provided in the email. Same thing with phone calls, if someone calls you, hang up and call a known correct number back to verify! It's good to be thankful and giving, but be alert and vigilant and do it safely.
