HOEC has received reports of pole inspectors who are entering property without respect. The description has been of a white van. Please be advised, this is NOT HOEC. Our pole inspectors travel in red trucks and our contractors are generally in white trucks, not vans. HOEC employees should always have an employee ID they can show you, and/or you can call the cooperative office to verify they are who they say they are. Contractors will have paperwork they can show you that verifies they are working with HOEC and sometimes they will have decals on their vehicles (if not adorned with their own company decals already).
During this time of year, we are out along with our contractors, clearing rights-of-way and sometimes working on building new lines. Our pole inspectors work year-round and are trained on entering property. As members and landowners, please be safe and aware of who is entering your property.
