Update, 9:30am:  Sho-Me Power is having an issue at their substation near Tecumseh and that is accounting for most of the members without power. There are still some at Dora and Couch and HOEC crews are working to restore power. Thank you for your patience.

We currently have 722 members without power in the Tecumseh and Dora area. Dispatch is aware of the outages and crews are en route.  The rain is predicted to continue throughout the weekend and cause flooding. Stay safe and never drive into flood waters.

HOEC Linemen Zach Dotson and Josh Hackworth (shown) and Dwight Eden (not pictured) recently attended the Overhead and Aerial Basket School at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) Training Center in Jefferson City.

HOEC linemen Chesley Neal and Josh Sisney recently participated in AMEC's Regulator, Oil Circuit Recloser (OCR) and Capacitor School at the AMEC Training Center in Jefferson City.

With storms passing through the HOEC service area, we now have 671 members without power in Eminence, Dora, Vanzant, Cull and Willow Springs. This morning at about 7:32 am we noticed that our fiber internet connection dropped, and contacted Sho-Me Technologies to report the issue. Our website was unvailable to members at the time, and our phones were limited to one incoming line. Sho-Me investigated, found the source of the problem and restored service at 8:06 am, bringing our full phone system back online and restoring access to our website. We apologize to members for any inconvenience you have may have experienced trying to reach us during the network downtime.
