Rural Missouri magazine honored Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, West Plains, as the electric cooperative with the best storm response during a presentation of the magazine's 2025 High Voltage Awards on Oct. 16.
Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative (HOEC), West Plains, was one of 35 Missouri electric cooperatives recognized for working safely. Employees of the cooperative have now worked a total of 332,395.50 hours without a lost time accident.
HOEC is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual with proven skills to work on a full time basis with opportunity for advancement. Preference given to candidates who have utility industry experience.
Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative has announced that Dan Singletary, CEO/General Manager, will retire from the cooperative effective January 2, 2026, after a remarkable 40-year career with the organization.
