Monday morning outage update

Approximately 3,000 HOEC members were without power following severe weather that moved through the area late Saturday evening. Crews were dispatched and began working immediately to safely restore power. Outages were caused by high-winds and lightning and were widespread throughout the service area. At this time there are still approximately 359 members without power.

Officials have been notified of at least 20 power poles that were broken in the storm.

HOEC would like to remind members if they see a downed power pole, please stay away from it and report it to the cooperative immediately at 417-256-2131 or 1-888-HOE-POWER. Outage updates will be posted on the HOEC Facebook page. Please note that Facebook is not an avenue to report an outage. If you need to report an outage, please do so by calling 417-256-2131 or 1-888-HOE-POWER. You can also report an outage on the cooperative website at www.hoecoop.org.

Myles Smith, Manager of Member Services at HOEC said, “We appreciate the continued patience of our members as crews continue to work to safely restore power.”
