2013 Annual Meeting date & entertainment announced

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative announces the 74th Annual Meeting of membership to be held Friday, May 3rd at the West Plains Civic Center. The evening’s entertainment will be provided by the dynamic bluegrass quintet The HillBenders from Springfield, Missouri.

The HillBenders are known for their high-octane shows with tight harmonies and stunning instrumental prowess. The group has been winning fans and making waves at every festival that they have been invited to since their formation in 2008. They recently signed with a Nashville-based music company the Compass Records Group and have released their new album “Can You Hear Me?” which is available now. “Our music appeals to anyone that can enjoy a fun performance. We share a passion for the music, a passion to perform,” says guitarist Jim Rea. “It’s evident we have fun on stage. People come up to us and say sarcastically, ‘liven up!’”

Cooperative members are encouraged to look for the official announcement in the May issue of The Power Line. A registration card will be printed on the front page of The Power Line which enables members to register as a voting member at the business meeting. Bring the registration card with you; registration begins at 5:00 p.m. The business meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.
