Power Restoration Steps

This video describes the steps required to restore power after a storm related outage.

Progress update

We have approximately 978 members still without power throughout our service area. According to our Statewide Outage Map, 3,667 members are without power across the state. Crews are working to safely restore power. As a reminder, please stay away from downed power lines and report them immediately to the cooperative by calling 417-256-2131 or 1-888-HOE-POWER.

Outages due to overnight storms

Officials at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative report that approximately 1,391 members were without power following severe weather that moved through the HOEC service area.

Notice to Members

Davey Resource Group, a contractor for Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc., is performing a pole audit on our behalf in our service area. This project will require their field representative to approach poles that may be on personal property. The data being collected will allow us to continue to provide the safe and reliable power that you have come to expect.

Committee Appointment for HOEC's Dan Singletary

Dan Singletary, CEO/General Manager of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, was recently appointed as a district representative to the Internal Operations Committee of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC), Jefferson City.

AMEC provides training as well as other services to the state's 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 560,000 rural members.

Linemen returning home from South Carolina after assisting with Hurricane Florence

The 8 linemen from HOEC who traveled to South Carolina to assist crews from other cooperatives with power restoration after the devastation from Hurricane Florence are returning home.

Linemen heading to South Carolina for Hurricane Florence help

Officials at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative report that 8 linemen from HOEC will be leaving Friday morning and traveling to Kingstree, South Carolina to assist crews from Santee Electric Cooperative with power restoration after the devastation from Hurricane Florence. Over 160 linemen from Missouri Electric Cooperatives will be responding to the call for help.

Notice to members: Survey to be conducted for HOEC

During the next few months, Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc., will be sponsoring a survey that is conducted every three years to measure the quality of service provided to our members. This survey will ask several questions about member satisfaction and energy use with the cooperative.
