Committee Appointment for HOEC's Dan Singletary

Dan Singletary, CEO/General Manager of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, was recently appointed as a district representative to the Internal Operations Committee of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC), Jefferson City.

AMEC provides training as well as other services to the state's 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 560,000 rural members.

Linemen returning home from South Carolina after assisting with Hurricane Florence

The 8 linemen from HOEC who traveled to South Carolina to assist crews from other cooperatives with power restoration after the devastation from Hurricane Florence are returning home.

Linemen heading to South Carolina for Hurricane Florence help

Officials at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative report that 8 linemen from HOEC will be leaving Friday morning and traveling to Kingstree, South Carolina to assist crews from Santee Electric Cooperative with power restoration after the devastation from Hurricane Florence. Over 160 linemen from Missouri Electric Cooperatives will be responding to the call for help.

Notice to members: Survey to be conducted for HOEC

During the next few months, Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc., will be sponsoring a survey that is conducted every three years to measure the quality of service provided to our members. This survey will ask several questions about member satisfaction and energy use with the cooperative.

Notice to Members regarding Labor Day

The Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative business office will be closed on Monday, September 3rd in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Dispatchers will remain on duty to assist you in the event of a power outage.

Bakersfield Science Teacher Attends Energy Conference

32 educators attended the "Energy in Today's Classroom" Teacher Education program held July 25th and 26th at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Jodi Burns, a Junior High Science teacher at Bakersfield, represented Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative at the conference.

Community Blood Drive at HOEC

Come and help save lives by giving blood at the Community Blood Drive, to be held by Community Blood Center of the Ozarks on Tuesday, August 7th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It will be set up in the north parking lot at the HOEC office.
