Notice to members: Memorial Day holiday

The Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative business office will be closed on Monday, May 27th, for Memorial Day. As always, dispatchers will be available to serve members in the event of a power outage.

May 21 Storm and Outages

Approximately 1,562 members were without power following severe weather that moved through the area on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 21st. The photo was taken during the calm after the storms, shortly before sunset.

All Known Outages Restored

As of 7:30 AM this morning, power was restored to all known locations with outages. Your patience was appreciated as our crews worked through the night.

If you still have a power outage, you may report it at 1-888-HOE-POWER or online from a smartphone or computer through the HOEC website.

Outage Update

At this time 985 members remain without electricity, down from approximately 1,560 earlier in the evening. Crews continue to work to safely restore power to all members as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience as we work to repair damage from today’s storms.

Outage Update

As a result of severe storms moving through the HOEC service area, we currently have approximately 1560 members without power. Members presently affected are fed by substations in Eminence, Winona, Willow Springs, Dora, Caulfield, West Plains, Tecumseh, Vanzant, Koshkonong and China (JJ Highway, Arrowhead Lake area). Crews are out and responding to these outages.

Storm and Outage Update

High winds began to blow through the HOEC service area at approximately 3:00 pm today. As a result of these winds, there are now approximately 996 members without power. Areas presently affected are Willow Springs, Dora, Caulfield, West Plains, Tecumseh, Vanzant and China. Crews are responding to these outages. As always, please stay away from downed power lines.
