Every year, Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative linemen go through a pole top rescue exercise to teach them what to do in the event that a lineman experiences an electrical contact. The pole top rescue exercise is just one of several annual safety training lessons that linemen participate in.

When the wind blows, energy flows; that is now true for Missouri electric cooperative members. Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AECI), the power generating supplier for Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative members, began receiving energy from the first utility scale wind farm in Missouri back in 2007.

The 74th Annual Meeting of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc. was held May 3rd, 2013 at the West Plains Civic Center where approximately 800 were in attendance despite the cool, rainy weather outside.

The evening included an energetic performance by bluegrass quintet The HillBenders from Springfield, Missouri.

Kids Fun Zone to bring some new fun to Annual Meeting

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative invites you to the 74th annual meeting of membership to be held the evening of Friday May 3rd at the West Plains Civic Center. Bring your children so they can enjoy the Kids Fun Zone that will be open from 5 to 6:30!

OMC Fun Run team from HOEC

A group of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative employees, immediate family members and spouses took part in the annual OMC Fun Run that was held Saturday April 20th. The event takes place each year as a family fun event to raise money for local and area cancer patients being treated at Ozarks Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center.
