Planned outage for parts of Oregon County on October 19

Officials at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative announce a planned power outage to take place on Friday, October 19th.

Members that will be affected by this planned outage are located in Oregon County starting from Couch School going north on E highway to County Road 244, from Couch School approximately 3 miles west, and also east from the school to V Highway and south to the Arkansas border.

The reason for the planned outage is for work to be completed on a significant upgrade of the electrical service in the area. Planning for the upgrade is in the final stage and with suitable weather the work will be completed on Friday, October 19th beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing approximately three hours. All cooperative members that will experience an outage, as a result of the work being completed, were notified by mail earlier this month.
