Kids Fun Zone to bring some new fun to Annual Meeting

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative invites you to the 74th annual meeting of membership to be held the evening of Friday May 3rd at the West Plains Civic Center. Bring your children so they can enjoy the Kids Fun Zone that will be open from 5 to 6:30!

OMC Fun Run team from HOEC

A group of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative employees, immediate family members and spouses took part in the annual OMC Fun Run that was held Saturday April 20th. The event takes place each year as a family fun event to raise money for local and area cancer patients being treated at Ozarks Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center.

HOEC employees donate to OMC Fun Run

The employees of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative have fielded a team of participants for the Ozarks Medical Center Fun Run, to be held Saturday, April 20, in West Plains. In addition to the registration fees for the event, the team raised an extra $120 to donate to the Fun Run, which benefits patients of the OMC Cancer Treatment Center.

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative and OzarkAreaNetwork.com invited area patrons to the Cooperative Wednesday, April 3rd for the KOLR10 Weather Tour.

2013 Annual Meeting date & entertainment announced

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative announces the 74th Annual Meeting of membership to be held Friday, May 3rd at the West Plains Civic Center. The evening’s entertainment will be provided by the dynamic bluegrass quintet The HillBenders from Springfield, Missouri.

HOEC assisting hard-hit neighbor Cooperative

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative crewmen will be assisting in the emergency power restoration in central Missouri following winter storm "Rocky" that has plagued the region. HOEC sent eight crewmen today to assist in power restoration at Boone Electric Cooperative (BEC) headquartered in Columbia, MO, which was one of the hardest hit of the Cooperatives in Missouri.

Winter storm outage restoration completed

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative finished restoring power by 10 p.m. Friday evening (Feb. 22nd), following the ice storm which began early Thursday morning and continued through late that afternoon. At the height of the outage HOEC officials reported just over 3800 members of the Cooperative without power.

Cold mornings can result in peak usage

During the cold days in winter and the hot days of summer it's important to remember to participate in HOEC's Peak Alert program.
